Based on the one vintage, complemented by fully 50% reserve wines, the NV Brut Premier Cru Platine ferments in recently used barrels with native yeasts and sees more than six months on the lees before tirage. Offering up aromas of crisp yellow orchard fruits, beeswax, almond paste and white flowers, it's medium to full-bodied, vinous and concentrated, with lovely depth at the core, brisk acids and a long, sapid finish. six grams per liter dosage.

This intense negoc champagne is an 78/16/8 pinot noir/chardonnay/meunier cuvee sourced entirely from grand and premiers crus in the Montagne de Reims, and based (35 percent) on the 2014 vintage. Traditionally, the whole is plumped with 30-40 percent barrel aged reserve wines, spends a period rounding three years on the lees, and finishes off with 6 g/l dosage. My bottle was disgorged in January 2018. In contrast to type, this is a energetic and tighter wine, with skippy lemon driving the toasted brioche, red apple, red liquorice kissed palate. Acidity is crunchy, welcoming both solo sipping and partnering with prawns through pork.
Wine Enthusiast
From premier cru vineyards on the Montagne de Reims, this Champagne is driven by the Pinot Noir in the blend. It is a dry style, packed with apple and citrus fruits and a youthful vivacity that might be even better after some more bottle age.

A rich copper/golden color, the NV Champagne Premier Cru Platine Extra Brut is pleasing and fresh on the nose, leading with notes of toasted bread, peach, floral perfume, and almond. Its composed of 58% Pinot Noir, 31% Chardonnay and the rest Meunier, from the villages of Bouzy, Villers Allerand, and Ecueil, and was raised in barrel without going through malolactic fermentation. Medium to full-bodied and fully dry, it has a pleasing light spice on the palate with a chalky texture, and as it opens, it leans into its deeper red-fruited profile on the palate, with a rather long finish. Its quite impressive and is a lovely wine once it opens, so give it some air if opening at this early stage and drink over the next 6- 8 years. It has the addition of 2.5 grams per liter dosage and was disgorged in January of 2024.

From Bouzy, Villers Allerand and Ecueil with 5,5 grams of sugar and half in oak barrels. Significantly nicer than the version without dosage. A brilliant standard champagne under a new label and a perfect balance between blood orange and breadiness.

54 % pinot noir, 26 % chardonnay, 20 % Meunier
